Guess that Wine ~ Red Wine Night

Back at the beginning of November, I had an amazing group of friends over to Guess That Wine! I’m a white wine lover so I was happy to host a red tasting.

The wines available were:

  • Alamos Malbec
  • French Lick Foch
  • Winking Owl Shiraz
  • Mirassou Pinot Noir
  • Rex-Goliath Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Yellow Tail Merlot

We truly had a great evening. The hardest part was picking out what wine to taste! One of my gals threw in a curve ball by donating the French Lick Foch wine. I had never heard of it so we knew none of the others would and it was hilarious when they received their tasting cards and honestly thought we were joking with that one. Nope! My favorite out the six was the Merlot and the Pinot Noir. However, I will pick up a Rex-Goliath Cabernet Sauvignon now when I am at the store and get in the mood for a red wine. A nice price point for someone to try if you aren’t sure what to get and don’t want to waste money on a wine you won’t drink.

Make a list of your wine loving friends, have their husbands bring them and pick them up, put out some snacks and enjoy. Make memories and laugh. Laugh a lot.
